Can kids ride dirt bikes in Utah?

Yes—Utah DNR regulations allow youth to operate off-road vehicles with proper certification and adult supervision.
Most traditional gas quad operators refuse to touch youth riders because their corporate insurance policies completely ban minors, or require drivers to be 21+.
We really want kids to get to ride, so we’ve put a lot of work into finding a way to make it happen — safely, legally, and on bikes that actually fit them.

Youth OHV Course

Utah requires an OHV education course before operating self-guided on public land.

It takes about 90 minutes. Let’s be real—they’ll spend more time than that watching TikTok today.
