Looking for an e-bike rental in St. George? Fair. It's a great town to ride. But before you book a cruiser for the bike path, hear us out.
There's a version of the e-bike with knobby tires, real suspension and full torque the second you twist the throttle. It's called an electric dirt bike. And you can ride one straight from our shop onto red dirt trails, about 15 minutes north of St. George.
You could pedal the paved path. Or you could just do this.
Think e-bike, but built for dirt. No clutch. No gears. Twist and go. If you can balance a bicycle, you can ride one.
Power is adjustable, so you start chill and turn it up when you're ready. Eco mode is your friend.
Here's what's in the fleet:
A regular e-bike is great for paved paths around town. If that's the plan, go for it.
But you probably didn't drive all the way to Southern Utah to look at red rock from a bike path. You want to be in it. Sand washes. Slickrock. Old mines. A river beach. A bike path doesn't go there. An electric dirt bike does.
One heads-up: our bikes are built for trails, not traffic. Riding them on St. George streets isn't allowed. That's exactly why we're in Leeds. The town is OHV-friendly, so you ride from our shop to the trailhead. No trailer. No truck. No straps.
More on the area on our St. George rentals page.
These trails start right from our parking lot:
Want something harder? Backdoor to Babylon has jumps, berms and rock obstacles. The Rock Crawl Playground is a slickrock spur off the Yant Flat road. Full details are in the trail guide.
Prices depend on the bike. The Ultra Bee is at the top of each range, and the Mantis Mini starts at $109.
Helmet, gloves, and knee and elbow pads come with every ride. Safety gear is never an add-on. We do put a $250 security hold on each bike at pickup ($500 for the Ultra Bee).
Pick your bike and check availability.
Rentals are for riders who are comfortable balancing, braking smoothly and controlling speed on basic dirt. You don't need dirt bike experience. Lots of first-timers do great with a quick lesson and the power turned down.
Most riders get around 3 hours of ride time per battery if they ride conservatively. Full sand, full throttle burns it faster.
If you've got kids, or someone who's never touched a throttle, a guided tour is the easy button. No experience needed, and everyone gets their own bike. Your guide sets the pace and leads the way.
Kids 10 and up can book online. Ages 8 to 9 can ride with prior approval. Under 18? Utah's OHV course is online and takes about 90 minutes. Younger than 8 can ride along with a parent in the UTV.
Dads who grew up riding: this is your way back in. Your kids are probably already obsessed with e-motos anyway. See the guided tours.
Nope. Our whole fleet is electric dirt bikes, built for off-road trails. If you just want to cruise the paved path, a bike shop in town is your move.
About 15 minutes north. We're at 261 N Main St. in Leeds, Utah.
No. Street riding is not allowed in St. George or Washington City. Leeds lets you ride to the trails, which is why you start from our shop.
No, but you should be comfortable balancing, braking and controlling speed off-road. If you've never ridden, book a guided tour instead.
Plan on about 3 hours of ride time with conservative riding. Full-day rentals come with two batteries.
